Joanne Duncan, of Jo’s Quilting Creations, will be introducing you to the art of creating a memory quilt using old t-shirts! Do you have stacks of your child’s old tees … or some from a loved one who’s passed? Don’t leave them tucked away in a box or drawer! These t-shirts will make a priceless, one-of-a-kind, memory quilt!

In her second Introductory Workshop, Joanne will teach you the basics of cutting the t-shirt and stabilizing the stretchy t-shirt fabric. She’ll move you through the entire process of creating your first quilting block! (If you missed Part I - no worries, you'll catch up quickly! If you attended Part I, this workshop will allow you the opportunity to get lots more quilting squares cut out and ready for the next step -- do plan to bring a roll of your own stabilizer to create multiple squares for your quilt. We'll also get started laying out your quilt!)

After this class, you’ll be so excited about the idea of completing your first memory quilt! Bring your favorite t-shirts and we'll get started (first time attendees -- no need for your to bring stabilizing material -- this will be provided for your first quilting square!) After the workshop, you’ll have the opportunity to sign up for a more advanced block of courses designed to help you complete your first quilt or you’re also welcome to discuss the option of having Joanne sew your memory quilt for you.
